Java Developer

Great locally based company that is a leader in their industry is looking to add an experienced Java developer to their core team. You will be responsible for driving the product development and ongoing support efforts. Perfect opportunity for someone looking for the next step to grow in their development skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain existing Java based web service applications
• Works with both stakeholders in an Agile software development environment;
• Provides well commented code and documentation describing the developed code and its function and interface requirements;
• Responds to test results to fix discrepancies/faults and re-test successfully;
• Work with QA and test engineers to help develop automated test routines and resolve bugs
• Provide 4th tier support

Works on multiple projects as assigned in support of projects as determined by the customer site lead and by contract team leadership;

Education and Experience

• BS in Computer Science or similar technical field
• 5+ years of experience developing in Java
• Experience with Javascript/HTML/Angular.js
• Experience with REST, MySQL, and RDMS required
• Experience with Linux preferred
• Wireless network environment experience preferred
