Java Application Developer

Responsibilities:
Provide hands-on functional and technical expertise in the analysis, design, development, and implementation of business processes and applications

Understand and provide comprehensive solutions for the business needs of internal customers

Generate technical designs for custom solutions to meet business requirements

Develop software in compliance with industry standards

Provide consulting support on process and system issues

Participate in new product reviews, tests, and pilots

Help software developers and ensure successful implementation and support of projects

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

4+ years of experience in Applications Development

4+ years of experience in J2EE Enterprise Development and Designing

4+ years of experience in Spring, JSF, and Oracle technology stack

Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, Java design patterns, and Jersey or any similar RESTful framework

Proficient with the design of web, component, distributed solutions, n-tier design, and deploying scalable and reliable systems

Experience implementing methodologies such as RAD, UML, or other object-oriented designs

Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL programming language

Experience with HTML, XML, XSL, XSLT, and Style Sheets

Solid comprehension of protocols such as SOAP, HTTPS, FTP, SMTP, etc.

Ability to design reusable database structures using SQL Server and/or Oracle Database

Strong follow up skills, organizational skills, and displayed ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Description:
The

Enterprise Call Center Services (ECCS)

Java Application Developer is responsible for delivering high quality Voice and CTI applications to all JP Morgan business units. Primary role involves being part of ECCS Application Development Team supporting IVR, middleware and Contact Center Desktop Integration Services providing estimates, responsible for detailed analysis and design, development, unit testing, providing support during QA and UAT cycles and a defect free production delivery. In addition to Contact Center Technologies, this team provides an internal intranet based UI solution to enable business users to make dynamic changes to the IVR applications. The position will require off hours support as needed. Application Developers are expected to work closely with the entire ECCS IVR and CTI Development team and also work with offshore counterparts.

Responsibilities:
Primary role involves being part of ECCS IVR & Middleware Application Development Team supporting Contact Center Services providing estimates, responsible for detailed analysis and design, development, unit testing, providing support during QA and UAT cycles and a defect free production delivery. The position will require off hours support rotations.

Deliverables:
Document detailed application designs, translate technical requirements into programmed application modules and develop/enhance software application modules. Produce code reviews, testing results and implementation plans. Additional responsibilities include managing IT risk activities such as Controls Assessment, Open source and Static Scans.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional experience as a developer/senior developer with development, deployment, and support of large-scale distributed applications in a mission-critical production environment.

Experience in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) with full development lifecycle from inception through implementation

Working knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis/Object Oriented Design methodologies and life cycles

Demonstrated experience with version control tools such as Subversion.

5+ years experience with application development on Java, J2EE, Spring, and MVC, Java Design Patterns and JUnit.

5+ years experience with JMS and Messaging Products (preferably Web Sphere MQ).

5+ years experience working with Web Services.

Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases like Oracle/SQL Server, SQL

Working knowledge of Webservice technologies including SOAP/REST.

Excellent working knowledge of Rules Engine such as ODM

Strong working knowledge of Eclipse and Tomcat.

Strong working knowledge of Log4J.

Excellent analytical, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills coupled with a strong work ethic

Ability to deliver in a fast paced global team environment.

Test-infected attitude (strong desire to perform thorough and exhaustive unit, integration and system testing)

Preferred Skills:
Exposure to Open Source technologies (Maven, Jenkins, CI).

Extensive experience of developing UI interfaces

Working knowledge of IVR’s

Some knowledge of Call Routing Platform
