IT Systems Administrator

Description

Under the direction of IAM manager and senior staff, support identity, governance, and access management (IGAM) life cycle processes including establishment and maintenance of identity data and establishment, modifications, and removal of accounts and access to a wide range of Kaiser Permanente servers, systems and applications.

Provide operational support for access accounts and rights in most technologies (infrastructure applications, network access, server access, desktop software deployment, directory services, E-mail, Disaster Recovery, storage management, print management, mobile device management, business applications).

Provide support to the business to ensure that access and compliance requirements are understood and met.

Maintain awareness about changes in security and privacy regulations, technologies, and threats. Develop and maintain a high degree of understanding of the Kaiser Permanente Washington organization, business functions, and application usage as they relate to access needs.

Working closely with Sr. Systems Administrators, Systems Engineers, IT Governance, Enterprise Security Assurance, Data Governance, Privacy, and business leadership, provide advice and perform repeatable processes relating to deployment, support, and maintenance of all areas of IAM team functional responsibilities.

Experience managing accounts and permissions in Active Directory, IBM mainframe security system (RACF), and Epic highly desirable.

Minimum Education Requirements

Associates Degree Information Technology related, or equivalent combination of relevant education, training, experience and certification may be accepted in lieu of degree.

Preferred Education

Bachelors Degree Information Technology related

Knowledge/Skills

Minimum Knowledge/Skills Requirements

Intermediate Knowledge of enterprise environments and ability to engineer solutions to include, but not be limited to: Operating Systems, Desktop Operating Systems, Virtualization, Directory Services, E-mail, Disaster Recovery, Security, Telecon (Network, Voice, Video), Antivirus, Storage Management, Print Management, Hardware Management, Mobile Device Management, Application Deployment, PKI, and DNS Ability to understand complex systems and IT protocols. Ability to constantly adapt, learn and support new technologies.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills

Intermediate Avaya, Cisco, Tandberg, Microsoft, UNIX, IBM, VMware, ITIL foundations, Remedy.

Experience

Minimum Experience Requirements

2 years Progressive IT experience to include 1 year experience supporting complex environments as well as multiple infrastructure systems or operating systems.

Minimum License/Certifications Requirements

Able to obtain shortly after hire ITIL Foundations within 12 months of hire.

At time of hire Possesses current and up-to-date certification/certificates in one (1) or more industry standard IT related areas that are associated with the position being applied for.

At time of hire CompTIA A+, CompTIA Net+, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Healthcare+, Avaya, Cisco, Microsoft, Unix, Linux, IBM, Security, Project Management.
