IT Support Technician

Datamode Corporation is an IT Services and Hosting provider with room for the right individual to complement our team. Full-time position based in Covington, GA office with regular travel to Fairburn, GA.

Rotating after-hours and weekend on-call support. Occasional weekend project work.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site and remote technical support for end-users involving troubleshooting and repair of hardware and software, LAN/WAN networks, peripheral and mobile devices
  • Install and configure networks and systems based upon tested images and configurations
  • Monitor Help Desk requests and console indicators to identify and resolve issues
  • Ensure support requests are given a permanent resolution in a timely manner
  • Follow-up with clients and team to confirm problem resolution and customer satisfaction
  • Perform proactive network, hardware and software maintenance
  • Log service requests, incidents, problems, and project activity into tracking systems for service, support and project billing
  • Provide timely completion of reports and project documentation
  • Diligently pursue assigned certification and competency training to gain new product knowledge and technical skills

Qualifications:

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of networking, system hardware and peripherals
  • Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux and Apple software and support methods
  • Hands-on knowledge of Mobile Device Management and mobile device provisioning
  • Competent with Virtualization technologies (Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware, KVM, Parallels, etc.)
  • Experience with SIP-based VoIP Telephony architectures
  • Ability to learn and support line-of-business and industry-specific software applications
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Are well organized, detail oriented, and able to prioritize tasks
  • Willing to follow company methods and procedures while contributing enhancements
  • Can focus on delivering superior quality service and support

Experience & Certifications:

  • Current in Desktop, Server and Network Support: 4+ years in MSP environment preferred
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, and MCP or higher.

Education:

  • High School Degree or GED required
  • Associate Degree or higher preferred

Other:

  • Reliable transportation required
  • Background check and drug testing required
