IT Support Specialist

Mrs. Grissom’s Salads in Nashville, TN is accepting resumes for a Desktop Support Specialist to trouble shoot and problem solve all software and hardware systems for a rapidly growing production and distribution company. The Desktop Support Specialist is responsible for conducting setup, maintenance, modification and configuration of onsite and remote systems including handheld systems, desktops, tablets, laptops, printers, phone systems, and servers.

Sample of Responsibilities:

Provides technical support and guidance to onsite and remote users

-Setup, configure, and support the deployment of end user devices and software -Recommends/Implements upgrades, patches, applications and equipment

-Practice 5S with all technical equipment including server room and IT cabinets

-Keep up to date with the latest data protection and security threats

Position Qualifications and Requirements:

Degree in Information Technology related field or comparable experience in the Information Technology field

-Tablet and/or handheld programming and support is ideal

-Ability to effectively support users and solve technical problems directly and remotely

-Ability to support web environments

-Ability to support (S)FTP(S) server

-Knowledge in server management (Windows/Linux)

Physical capability

-Ability to use step stools, ladders or other equipment necessary to install and repair technical systems

-Ability to lift items up to 35lbs -Excellent communication, people and organization skills -Excellent diagnosis, problem-solving and resolution skills

-Our Microsoft-based infrastructure includes Windows 7 desktops, Windows Server 2008 on both physical and Hyper V virtual servers, MS SQL.

Must have a valid driver’s license – Limited local travel will be required

Salary: $14.00 to $17.00 /hour
