IT Support Specialist

The IT Support Specialist plays a key role in scaling the Dwolla team by being a point of contact for IT related issues, helping others with their technology needs and safely and securely enabling productivity and collaboration across our team. The IT Support Specialist will help others across Dwolla with their technology needs to deliver secure and productivity-enabling services

Dwolla will expose the IT Support Specialist to a sophisticated environment built on leading practices and technologies such as cloud-based services, collaboration tools, a blend of Windows, Linux and MacOS systems and even a telepresence robot.

The IT Support Specialist is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related internal infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the go-to person for corporate IT tasks helpdesk (laptop, desktop, office networking, active directory etc)
  • Desktop/User issues including
  • Printers
  • Software Installs
  • Imaging
  • Mac and PC builds
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical computer hardware and software issues
  • Troubleshoot and maintain Dwolla VOIP network
  • Handle all general walk-ups and system problems from Dwolla employees
  • Support internal IT infrastructure and provide troubleshooting support
  • Assist Information Security team with compliance and general environment improvements
  • Ensures that assets are tracked in our asset management system for IT hardware, software, and equipment.
  • Support the user access management tasks including onboarding, endpoint configuration and role-based access control
  • Create and update existing support process documentation to improve workflows

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Managing laptop and desktop provisioning
  • Maintenance of virtual machine images and policy management
  • General Windows, Linux, and MacOS knowledge
  • Basic scripting knowledge
  • Network configuration and troubleshooting tools
  • General server configuration and maintenance
  • Excellent communication skills
