IT Support and Release Manager

This position is very much a hands-on player-coach role. Along with helping to build and establish our processes, the IT support and Release Manager (ITSRM) will role up his or her sleeves and help support IT needs on a day to day basis.

The ITSRM is a key role combining two important functions; the IT Support Leader and the Release Manager. The ITSRM is a key contributor to Savigent’s success and oversees the product release cycle and all information technology, systems and strategies by researching and implementing technological strategic solutions; and managing hardware, software and desktop maintenance. The ITSRM is responsible for developing relationships with the management team in order to effectively manage releases, expectations, support, and system requirements.

Essential Functions

Responsible for the overall quality of the product release process

Implements continuous delivery (CD) processes in Microsoft Visual Studio Team Services

Implement Azure templating for server build automation for new releases and integrate CD releases

Ensures the availability, reliability and security of companies’ Information Systems, which include; servers, file and business applications, network and remote connectivity.

Manages, designs and maintains network, server, and business platforms.

Ensure the security of data, network access and backup systems

Assesses systems’ needs and procures systems and equipment.

Ensures that employee needs are met in a positive and timely manner.

Plans, organizes, controls and evaluates IT and electronic data operations

Relies on experience and judgement to plan, design, coordinate and accomplish IT related goals and milestones.

Performs myriad tasks and functions within Savigent’s information systems to help maintain and improve these systems.

Ensure compliance with federal information systems security requirements, implementing and maintaining security requirements as necessary.

Works with the hardware and software engineers, Sales, Customer Success and others as necessary to implement IT, security, and database management requirements.

Provide IT and security training as needed.

Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time.

Support CTO by managing annual budget for IT and ensuring cost effectiveness.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor degree in computer science, MIS or information technology field with 3+ years of experience overseeing information technology department

Familiar with SOX and other compliance requirements

Advanced knowledge of information systems concepts, practices, and procedures.

Requires virtualization system knowledge and experience and the ability to configure Microsoft servers in both physical and virtual environments.

Extensive operating systems knowledge and operational experience.

Ability to communication effectively with upper management

Ability to look beyond “today” and develop and recommend strategies, analysis, etc. that will support the companies IT needs of the future (based on company forecasts, etc.).
