Work with client and technical teams to safeguard client information systems and databases. Work within a team to provide to analyze and coordinate topics related to information security based on customer needs and requirements. Research, recommend, and implement changes to enhance information systems security. Educate and communicate security requirements and procedures to client.

Typical core responsibilities

• Serve as vulnerability management analyst for information systems as primary responsibility

• Analyze vulnerabilities and characterize risks to networks, operating systems, applications, databases, and other information system components on a regularly basis

• Determine and coordinate remediating actions based on the scan data, in coordination with the customer as well as our technical teams

• Create and present vulnerability reports

• Engage with stakeholders, internally and externally, to facilitate vulnerability discovery and remediation

• Keep track and manage the vulnerability management process in a timely manner

• Research and classify new security findings

• Operate and optimize security processes and tools

• Operate security tools as needed

Experience and skills

• Preferred 2+ years’ experience in Information Security or Information Technology field
• Working knowledge of common security tools and IT Infrastructure
• Knowledge of Vulnerability Management and Remediation techniques
• Knowledge of Information Security Management System frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001/27002) and how they are applied in an ISMS to support business objectives and priorities
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively and tactfully with both business-oriented executives and technology-oriented colleagues
• Ability to work independently and proactively; Ability to see the big picture based client needs and work through solutions as needed
• Willingness to continuously build up knowledge in the field of IT security and IT Infrastructure
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously that involve key stakeholders across a global and complex organization
• Hands-on experience working with vulnerability scanning tools. Experience working with Nexpose (preferred)
• CISSP, CISM or related SANS certifications are desired but not required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Nexpose.
• Experience with incident management processes and SIEM tools (e.g. Alert Logic, Splunk, Dark Trace)
• Experience with the coordination of incident resolution activities across a large number of internal groups and 3rd Party suppliers to ensure customer incidents/changes are resolved within SLA
• Ability to contribute to the incident management strategy by providing input and suggestions on the process or areas of improvement
• Knowledge of help desk support, network design and operational processes (Security Operations Center experience)
