Data Specialist/ Developer

Global trading company in NYC is seeking a Data Specialist to develop solutions for the data management issues and maintenance of macro programs using VBA or Excel macro applications. Perform both technical and administrative tasks to ensure functionality and efficiency of programs as a member of the Application Team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Consults with user departments to design, streamline and automate their systems to create greater efficiency.
• Completes projects as developer by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments under supervision of Senior Manager-SAP Specialist
• Design reporting solutions and macro controls.
• Maintain current and newly developed macro programs per user requirements.
• Responsible to develop user required programs using Excel macro, Visual Basic Application (VBA).
• Support the SAP Help Desk by responding to inquiries relating to SAP.
• Support EDI (Electronic Data Interchange).
• Strong organization skills to manage applications (new/delete registration, filing applications).
• Contribute to team effort to accomplish department goals.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:

• Strong working knowledge of: PCs (Windows10, MS Office2016), Macro (VBA) on Office 2016
• Experience with EDI procedures and formats.
• Prior Information Systems experience, with diverse understanding of different technologies.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science or related field and/or equivalent technical or professional experience.
