IT Network Administrator

We are looking for an IT Network Administrator to join our team in San Francisco. As an IT Network Administrator at Unity Technologies, you will work with the newest emerging technologies supporting our global teams. This includes network products like Palo Alto Gateways, Cumulus Switches, Cisco Switches, Aruba Switches and WiFi, for Multi-location hosting with redundant solutions in a WAN hold together with various technologies such as Dark Fibers, MPLS and IPSec tunnels using a mix of static and dynamic routing.

Your input and ideas will be transformed into the dynamic IT infrastructure at Unity. The infrastructure is primarily based on GNU/Linux and built upon Ceph, OpenStack and OpenNebula in an ever-evolving environment. An efficient and scalable IT infrastructure is integral to enabling our teams to create cutting edge software utilized by millions of developers around the world. Responsibilities includes:

• Maintain, monitor and optimize our office networks and WiFi environments
• Address, isolate, and repair performance problems or other issues affecting the efficiency of the network and infrastructure.
• Rapid deployment of network infrastructure and changes.
• Help evolve and redesign the existing WAN and LANs
• Expand and create monitoring solutions for existing and future services/networks.

Amazing skills you bring to the table:

• 3+ Years experience in IT Network Administration with excellent skills in Linux
• Knowledge of and experience in IPSec, OSPF, BGP, VRRP, Cisco IOS.
• Comfortable troubleshooting in Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience profiling and optimizing networks, operating systems and firewall rules.
• Ability to take initiative, anticipate challenges, and work well independently and within a team.
• Excellent communication skills and high level written and verbal English.

Nice to have:

• Experience in Aruba and Palo Alto systems.
• Experience with NAC solutions using Aruba and/or Cisco
• Scripting experience, automatic monitoring
• Experience with Virtual environments, preferably OpenStack and KVM.
