IT Financial Business Analyst-ERP

Trinity Corporate IT is searching to fill the open position of Financial Business Systems Analyst-BPCS/LX in our Dallas, Texas office.
This role will serve as a member of IT’s business-facing team and will be responsible for the full application development life-cycle, operational performance of our ERP system (BPCS / LX Financials), and overall maintenance and support of the financial systems. This position will also coordinate Finance, IT, Vendor, and Outsourced / Managed Services Resources, to ensure operational excellence and value-generating solutions to Trinity Finance, Accounting, and Supply Chain, within a data driven organization.

What you’ll do:
  • Requirements Development: Identify a desired future state that addresses a business problem. Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
  • Uncover needs that business partners and end users would not be able to articulate on their own
  • Creating Compelling Business Cases: Measure and communicate proposed project benefits
  • Providing Accurate Project Effort Estimates: Quantify project resource requirements
  • Create solutions to advance enterprise architectural objectives, including an understanding of the dependencies between the layers of the technology stack: compute, data, transactional, and analytics.
  • Designing for Usability: Collaborate on designing solutions for end-user adoption and productivity improvement
  • Project management/work package management /Drive solution development through its complete lifecycle using Agile/Scrum methods
  • Communications and Change Leadership: Communicate effectively across multiple constituencies to support project and organizational change objectives
  • Engage business sponsors and contribute to their targeted business outcomes
  • Build long-term relationships between multiple business partners to drive engagement in IT strategy
  • Engage developers to ensure productivity and solution quality

What you’ll need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or technical discipline. HIGHLY PREFERRED: MBA.
  • Minimum 3 years’ project experience supporting ERP, vendor or custom financial solutions that are impacted by financial month or quarter-end closes.
  • Functional knowledge, and project experience, working with Infor BPCS, LX or other financial systems; exposure to JobScope, MFG Pro, QIS or EAM a plus
  • Working knowledge of Software Maintenance Lifecycle, to include production support, patching/upgrades, infrastructure and enhancements
  • Agile user stories creation
  • Solid consultative and relationship-building skills
  • Working knowledge of organizational change implications on system functionality
  • Business case/benefits case development expertise
  • 3 years’ business process design experience, focusing on process improvement
  • Financial Reporting experience to include Transactional Inventory Reporting, Costing, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Physical Inventory
  • Strong knowledge of Accounting and Inventory Management business processes and Industry and Process Best Practice
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley and general audit requirements
  • Bilingual English / Spanish desired to enhance communications with business units in Mexico.
  • HIGHLY PREFERRED: Experience working through an ERP upgrade or deployment
  • HIGHLY PREFERRED: External, customer-facing, business consulting experience – Big4 experience is ideal
