IT End-User Specialist 1

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

Provide technical support for computers, communication equipment and basic network

Install, troubleshoot, service and repair end user workstation and laptop computers, related software and communication equipment such as telephones, cables, and network

Instruct users in the use of computers, telephones and networks

Investigate information, network, and communications needs of users, and makes recommendations regarding software and hardware

Maintain trouble logs and work within IT helpdesk system/process

Provide support of computer/network related purchases

Provide support of computer installations, upgrades and replacement

Printer, fax and scanner maintenance and support

Active Directory user account management

Provide and write procedural documentation on system issues

Qualifications

Required Skills and Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship

The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology (IT). A related technical degree may be considered

Must have 0 – 1 year(s) of IT support experience in an office environment. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree

The flexibility to stay late, come in early, or work on the weekend as needed to support users and projects

Customer service attitude

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

Strong verbal and written communications skills

Proficient in Microsoft Windows 7 and 10, Microsoft Office 2016/ 365

Experience testing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, operating, and repairing desktop/workstation/laptop computers

Software installation experience

Working knowledge of iOS mobile devices

Experience in computer imaging and deployment

Networking knowledge and troubleshooting (TCP/IP addressing, routing, VLAN, switching, DHCP, DNS)

Physical Requirements:
Ability to assist in moving/ lifting information system equipment up to 50 lbs. a few times per week

Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Windows Server 2008/2012/2016

Working knowledge of Unix OSes

Data backup and recovery (Veritas a plus), as well as inventory

MCSE Certification

Cisco Certifications

Data encryption/BitLocker experience

SQL knowledge and experience

Experience with Flex license servers

Candidates must be able to maintain a DoD clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship and must be able to pass additional security background checks as required.
