The EDI Analyst will support Smithfield with current and future business process and the automation of those processes. This position will require collaboration and communication with internal and external business partners, application delivery teams, and infrastructure team to deliver end to end integration solutions that include EDI, A2A, and B2B technologies.

Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting failed transmissions and acting as a liaison between outside trading partners and internal process leads to resolve issues in a timely manner by simplifying complex issues and creating actionable plans. Repetitive issues and patterns will be analyzed to assist technical teams with long term solutions.

Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support end to end interface requests from the business, customer, and vendor partners. Includes coordination, analysis, review, tracking, follow-up of the various transactions and their progress.
  • Participate as a part of the support team and assist management with projects to include design, planning, development, and testing of enhancements, process improvement and new initiatives.
  • Assist the business with understanding the integration process and requirements. Act as their technical resource.
  • Participate in technical studies to evaluate business systems requirements as they relate to EDI, make recommendations, and implement appropriate corrections to resolve master data issues.
  • Support System Change Requests from the business and submission to the proper Change Request team.
  • Understand, document and update business process flows for all interfaces and transactions including EDI document transactions.
  • Be responsible for auditing of SAP IDOCs, Partner Profiles and Master Data as related to EDI requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s Degree in business, computer information systems, management information systems computer science or related field and 5 years of experience in IT or related roles.

• Minimum of five years of Sterling GIS (IBM SI) or other similar EDI technologies and SAP IDOCs

• Development experience with 850/875, 810/880, 855 and 856 EDI documents. Warehouse documents a plus.

• Two-year experience with Unix / Linux and scripting is a plus.

• Base understanding of SAP functionality in SD and MM pertaining to EDI outputs, IDOCs, Partner Profiles, and Master Data

• Solid knowledge of business systems requirements, project management.

• Strong business aptitude, analytical, problem-solving and communication skills are necessary.

• Moderate to advanced Excel skills.

• Strong organizational, communication, attention to detail, and task follow up skills.
