IT Consultant

Job Description
Purpose of the job: In the IT Department of Premier FMCG, our IT Consultants deliver application solutions as well as support and maintenance to meet the business needs. Our consultants possess a solid understanding of solution delivery and agile development methodologies. Software solutions and products mainly include the Microsoft Stack-: Great Plains, Power Platform, Azure, SQL. Responsibilities: • Develop, within the approved application stack, solutions to support business in their strategic goals • Find new applications to provide rapid and sustainable solutions • Liaise with the Platform development team to build solutions that integrate into the wider spectrum of Premier IT architecture • Manage tasks and outcomes through MS DevOps and an agile methodology • Liaise with business partners to deliver mutually agreed solutions, test and present feedback to the IT Business services team • Manage presentations to business partners to clarify concepts and delivery outcomes, training and development showcases • Build front end applications in a variety of tools, Power Platform, HTML, ERP, Teams etc • Build data storage in SQL proficiently for each applications built • Build in collaboration with the Platform Team SQL integrations for data to move from Application to ODS to BI • Liaise with 3rd party providers for development tools not in the Premier resource capability • Specify reporting requirements for each application so the BI team can build the BI front end that business uses as a management tool • Co-ordinate rollouts of new applications and functionality with business partners and the IT support teams • Provide sufficient documentations of solutions including but not limited to ERDs, process flows, user manuals, SOPs • Collaborate as required with other IT team members • Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of application-usage best practices. • Participate in mitigation and control activities as well as identifying and evaluating risks. • Support business to troubleshoot issues and resolve hinderances for smooth business functioning in areas of expertise and through the Helpdesk. • Provide standby support and assistance • Mentor the Service Desk in day-to-day end-user assistance and event management, including incident troubleshooting and resolution
Qualification Requirements

Experience Requirements
Experience: • 5-7 years IT Consulting • 5+yrs SQL development experience • Basic HTML/CSS/JS experience would be a benefit • Knowledge of the MS Power Platform:- PowerApps, Power-Automate, Teams, Sharepoint, PowerBI, • Solid working knowledge of MS Office suite • Must be comfortable with MS Azure and Office 365 • Working knowledge of ERDs and piecing together other applications from their tables and structures • Knowledge of Python good to have • Interest in BOTs, ML and AI and ongoing technology advancements • Some knowledge of EDI would be a benefit
