Position: iOS and Android Application Developer

In this landscape, the turf industry is increasingly challenged to bring new products and enhanced products to market, on time and at an acceptable cost.

Responsibilities:

Signature Control Systems is seeking an iOS and Android developer who is interested in working on a small team in a fast paced environment. In this role you will participate in the design and development of highly interactive mobile apps in Swift/Objective-C and Java. This position requires well-rounded development skills with strong front end development experience. This position also requires experience with Bluetooth and HTTP communication protocols. The candidate should be able to articulate deeply technical concepts in a user friendly and understandable way when working with other key stakeholders. This would involve being able to assist with project managers, engineers and field staff in defining front end applications as well as working with a team of other product developers during the build, test and deployment phases.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
• Strong object oriented design and programming skills in Swift/Objective-C and Java
• Proven experience and strong understanding of Bluetooth and HTTP communication
• Utilize Apple software development tools such as xCode and Instruments to develop, test, debug, and deploy quality software
• Utilize Android software development tools such as Android Developer and Android Studio to develop, test, debug, and deploy quality software
• Utilize tools such as Git and JIRA in the software development process
• Collaborate and add value through participation in peer code reviews, providing comments and suggestion
• Fluent in English
• Must be self motivated and a good, clear, concise communicator – internally and externally
• Must live in Irvine, CA or surrounding area
• Valid driving license and an acceptable driving record
• The legal right to work in the United States

Experience Requirements:

• 3+ years of mobile application development experience required
• Proven experience with one or more apps published in the app and Google Play stores
• Experience with REST API programming
• Experience with XML and JSON
• Excellent communication skills via email, IM, conference calls, written technical requirements, and in-person
• Proven track-record of working with cross platform development teams
