7+ Months Contract position

Description:

This contract position is responsible for participating in development, maintenance and enhancement of business software applications. Participate in small project team utilizing various technology platforms and agile methodologies to develop production software.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

1. Ability to develop iOS applications for production software environment

2. Develop code to support existing and newly developed production environments

3. Collaborate with a small team of developers and business partners to meet implementation deadlines

4. Development and implementation of unit tests to ensure quality software development

5. Ability to follow and implement design pattern of the project

6. Be self-guided and complete tasks with minimum assistance

7. Comfortable with working in small agile environment with ambitious deadlines

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering from a four year accredited College

At least 5 years experience developing code for production software environments

Communicate effectively with business partners and development team

Strong technical knowledge, with hands-on experience in developing production software

Knowledge of relevant technology and tools is critical, including development methodologies and programming/scripting languages.

Experience with SCRUM methodology and sprint development format

5 years equivalent work experience in application development

5 years of experience in business application design, development, installation, and modification in an IT environment

Experience with design, development, and implementation of new computing architectures

At least 5 years experience with JavaScript and single page JavaScript apps

Expertise in mobile iOS development/Swift

Proficiency in JavaScript, and Git

Familiar with single page frameworks in ReactJS, AngularJS and Ext js

Environment/Physical Demands: This position requires incumbents to regularly sit at a desk and operate standard office equipment such as a computer and phone. Employee is occasionally required to stand and walk, lift, carry and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to talk and hear. Required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.
