Investor Relations Analyst

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it’s modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. A master juggler working of multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to handle big picture challenges.

With your analytics and financial savvy, you’ll liaise between the Finance team with the functional areas it supports. You resolve issues related to forecasting, planning, resource prioritization and business profitability, and you help translate analyses into easy-to-understand presentations.

You are a quick-witted and intelligent financial analyst and are at ease in a constantly changing (sometimes chaotic) environment, where poise under pressure and near-maniacal attention to detail are critical to the team’s success.

On the highest level, our job is to articulate how Google’s relentless focus on and prioritization of its users creates long-term value for shareholders. Coordinating quarterly earnings calls is a significant part of our responsibilities, but the larger objective of the team is to attract and retain the best possible long-term investors through a continual program of strategic targeting and outreach.

The name Google came from “”googol,”” a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.
