Internal Audit Analyst (Full-time)

Responsibilities of the Internal Audit Analyst include the following:

  • Assists in evaluating the Credit Union’s internal control systems by analyzing, examining

    and verifying Credit Union records and processes.

  • Assists in pre-audit planning and fieldwork for various types of audits, including branch, operational, compliance and financial as needed.
  • Reviews various transactions for proper authorization, approval, and propriety (overrides, data changes, etc.).

    Requirements for the position:

  • Understanding relational database concepts and their use in auditing internal controls
  • Use of PC system software and audit related software
  • Ability to design, document and test new programs and applications in the PC

    environment

  • Expert user of standard office software such as Excel, Word, and Access
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of data collection systems and methods used to monitor

    performance

  • Effective analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workloads in a fast paced, detail and deadline

    oriented environment

The above level of knowledge and skills may be acquired through a degree in accounting, finance, or business administration or one to three years of related experience or training.
