As an Intern Software Development Engineer at SpecTek, a wholly owned division of Micron Technology Inc., you can expect to participate in any and/or all phases of application development in support of the SpecTek Data Automation Group’s data automation tools and reporting applications.

Responsibilities in this role include:

• Gathering requirements from customer requests
• Designing, developing, debugging, documenting, testing and deploying applications
• Working closely with Production Operation Teams, Test Engineering teams, and other internal customers during application development and deployment
• Training users on the use and maintenance of new applications

Qualifications :

Successful candidates for this position will have:

• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks related to multiple projects
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux/Windows internals: system calls, shell scripting, drivers, etc.
• Familiarity with Test-Driven Development and Agile development methods
• Object-oriented language experience (C++, C#, Java, Python)
• Web development experience (HTML, Javascript, CSS)
• Ability to easily learn new programming languages and technologies
• Familiarity with version-control software and procedures, particularly Git (github/gitlab)
• Database experience, particularly MySQL and PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with BigData technologies, particularly Hadoop
• Familiarity with distributed systems and micro-services architectures

Education :

Pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science.
