Position Description

The Corporate Communications organization at First Citizen’s Bank has established a summer internship program. The program is designed to provide an opportunity for you to apply classroom knowledge in a corporate environment while delivering tangible value to the organization.

First Citizens Bank is seeking one Intern for our summer program. Intern responsibilities may include the following work with the Corporate Communications Intranet Team:

• Provide content publishing, web design and front end web development work for the employee intranet.
• Help conduct a site-wide cleanup of CSS.
• Help conduct a comprehensive intranet site audit.
• Work with the intranet team to understand associate channel use by assisting with user experience, research and testing.

An internship with First Citizens Bank Strategy Office team also offers the following opportunities:

• A manager to help guide the intern through the program on a daily basis.
• A mentor to provide an overview of the Strategy Office, which the Intranet team aligns with.
• Participation in unique banking-related training and events.
• Networking and teambuilding events.
• Assigned an unrelated Strategy Office group intern project that each intern will help plan and execute during his or her internship.
• Prepare a wrap-up presentation for the Chief Strategy Officer and other key leaders in the company that outlines their accomplishments and experience during the internship.

Position Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in an accredited web development/web design program
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScipt or jQuery

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3.0 GPA or higher
• Experience with PHP, Adobe Creative products
