Description

California Bank & Trust (CB&T) has an Internship Program immediately available for College/University students. The Internship is a paid, full-time position located in California and is part of a 9 to 12-week program. The Internship gives students the opportunities to gain valuable and practical work experience in their majors, explore the banking/finance industry, and learn about CB&T’s culture and business philosophy. Internships are available in various departments, allowing students to gain experience in a specific area of banking and explore different career alternatives and choices.

For the Commercial Banking internship:
Daily responsibilities include financial statement spreads in Moody’s Risk Analyst, tax return and personal financial statement spreads in Buker’s, attending customer and internal Bank meetings, industry analysis and business description underwriting for pre-screens or credit presentations, and various processing such as advances, paydowns, and system maintenance.

Qualifications

Must be currently enrolled in a College/University working toward a BS or MS in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related degree or have had graduated within the current year with a minimum GPA of 3.0 with interests in business and banking/finance.

Broad application of general business practices.

Intermediate knowledge of Windows and the Microsoft Office Suite products. Advanced knowledge of Excel including Pivot Tables, V-Lookup, General/Financial Modeling preferred.

Effective customer service and communication skills.
