Integration Project Specialist

The Integration Project Specialist is responsible for assisting Sr. Project Managers and Program Managers across multiple projects. Integration projects consist of on-boarding business for new and existing customers to RRD core systems. This position offers the qualified candidate an opportunity for project management exposure and upward mobility in the field of Project Management.

While the ideal location for this role will be Iowa City, we will consider candidates within RRD office locations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project or Program Manager in reviewing and documenting customer requirements into a Project Scope Statement
  • Assist the Project or Program Manger in documenting meeting minutes for weekly status calls and any one-off calls with subject matter experts
  • Engage internal and customer business owners/stakeholders as needed and maintain a project-level resource matrix.
  • Assist the Project or Program Manager in development and maintenance of the project plan and daily activities tied to the implementation
  • Assist the Project or Program Manager in assembling spreadsheets for bulk-loads to core systems
  • Assist the Project or Program Manager in tracking issues/risks
  • Assist the Project or Program Manager in monitoring milestones, communication of progress and escalation of risks until a project is live and transitioned to the sales/sales support team(s) to maintain
  • Possesses the ability to meet assigned deliverables in a timely manner with appropriate guidance
  • Translates work experience into problem-solving skills
  • Applies existing processes and procedures to help execute the project, solve problems and escalate appropriately
  • Utilizes functional computer knowledge to manage Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office programs
  • On occasion, the project may take on an aggressive nature and calls may fall outside of standard work hours.
  • Projects may require travel with a minimum of one overnight visit but no more than 4 business days in a row. Travel dates may be arranged to accommodate stakeholder.

Required Skills

  • HS diploma or equivalent with 5-6 years of relevant administrative/project support in manufacturing operations or office environment directly related to the duties of the job, OR a demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of work experience. May possess additional education certification in this level.
  • Requires excellent knowledge of functional area(s) related to the job or good knowledge related to a professional field of work. Knowledge of WCSS, WBS, CustomRoute, CustomPoint a plus.
  • Able to consistently apply standard policies, follow procedures and meet program objectives when carrying out the duties of the job. Training on policies and procedures will be provided.
  • Must have knowledge of technology such as Microsoft Office and Google spreadsheets. Knowledge of Microsoft Project a plus.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively across departments when completing assignments.
  • Must have strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines, prioritize the workload and make adjustments to meet business needs.
  • Project Management experience or course(s) taken in the field of project management are beneficial
