Title: Information Technology Manager

Reports to: Vice President / Controller

Summary of Position: The Information Technology Manager directs, manages, supervises and coordinates the activities and operations of the Information Technology Division including

hardware, software, network, telephone, and computer systems administration; identifies, recommends, develops, implements, and supports cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization; prepares bid specifications and analyzes bid proposals for computer and network equipment and software; coordinates assigned activities with other divisions, departments, and outside agencies; and provides highly responsible and complex administrative support to the company.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage Information technology, computer systems, JD Edwards Software
• Plan, organize, control, and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
• Manage IT staff via training, coaching, and communication
• Design, develop, implement, and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures
• Ensure security of data and network access and backup systems
• Prioritize based on user needs and system functionality
• Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions timely
• Audit systems
• Preserve assets, information security, and controlled structures

Skills Required:

• Analytical Skills: excellent analytical skills that can be applied to solve problems or develop new ideas utilizing queries and reports.
• Communications Skills: The soft skills of verbal and written communication are increasingly important as non-technical people rely on technological tools for their everyday business. Understanding a client’s needs and the ability to meet those needs depend heavily on a steady stream of open communication.
• A Commitment to Learning: Technology is constantly changing, and those who keep abreast of the latest developments in information technology are the ones who will be the most successful.
• Solid Problem Solving/Troubleshooting Capabilities: Computer professionals are called upon to solve problems with networks, software, and other programs. They are expected to solve these problems very quickly, and having sharp troubleshooting skills most definitely is a benefit.
• Computer Skills: Strong knowledge and experience with JD Edwards, Oracle, AS400, QRY400, World Writer) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel & alternative database skills (Microsoft SQL server)
• Programming Skills: Prefer RPG III/IV, i5/OS CL

Education/Experience Requirements: BS in Computer Science (or similar field) prefer 3-5 years of experience with JD Edwards Software

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $85,000.00 to $95,000.00 /year
