DESCRIPTION:

As an IT Auditor, you will be part of a team that helps review IT internal controls during financial, compliance, and performance audits. Your audit clients may include state agencies, counties, community college districts, and school districts. You will learn and apply IT best practices in audit scenarios and will continually expand your IT knowledge. You and your team will prepare findings and recommendations meant to improve IT internal controls and help ensure the security and operations of state, county, school district, and other government entities.

Depending on your experience, you could be hired as either an:

IT Auditor I, $50,000 – $53,000 or

IT Auditor II, $53,800 – $56,800

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, computer information systems, or computer science from an accredited institution, or a master’s degree in any field and 1 year of related audit experience.

In addition, candidates should possess the following:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Availability for in-state travel on a limited basis
• Ability to learn and adapt to changing environments and audit tools and techniques
• Excellent multitasking skills
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and clients
• Ability to plan, coordinate, and solve complex problems
