Information Systems Specialist

Virginia Urology, a large and growing specialty physician practice that has served central Virginia for over 70 years, is seeking an Information Systems Specialist. This position will be based at our Stony Point office in Richmond, Virginia. Occasional travel to our other offices is required.

The IS Specialist will provide high level hardware support including building machines, repairing machines, installing printers and troubleshooting technical problems for end users in person or via telephone. The selected candidate, along with other IT staff, will respond to approximately 450 help desk calls per week. Additionally, the selected candidate will assist with special projects including equipment refresh and relocation as needed.

The ideal candidate will have education, training and/or certifications in IT; experience working in a medical environment; excellent communication skills; a willingness to learn new things, apply a strong work ethic, ability to work independently and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
