Top Three Skills:

1.) 5+ years of experience as a Informatica Administrator (AIX Environment)

A. Tools used: IDQ (informatica data quality, Hadoop, big data management, data validation, grid, linux, proactive monitoring

2.) 5+ years of experience with Informatica Powercenter Administration

3.) True understanding of the Informatica software suite

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Design, Install, Configuration, and Administration of Informatica PowerCenter v9.6.1 or higher on AIX Platform

PREFERRED SKILLS:

Informatica Data Quality, PowerExchange for Oracle, Metadata Manager, Proactive Monitoring, and/or Data Validation Option on version 9.6.1 or higher on AIX Platform. Ideal candidate would have experience in designing Informatica architectures. Big Data Management and Teradata experience

The Informatica/Data Integration Services System Administrator/Architect will perform the following duties:

1. Provides technical and rotating on-call support for Data Integration Tools, including but not limited to Informatica PowerCenter, B2B, Data Quality, Proactive Monitoring, Greenplum, Initiate, and other tools under the scope of Data Integration Services organization.

2. Leads major and minor software upgrades, implementation of new software offerings and infrastructure, maintenance, and coordinates testing activities with project teams

3. Researches and provides recommendations for capacity modifications

4. Collaborates with project managers/leaders to document tasks and update status

5. Creates and maintains architecture diagrams

6. Informatica/Data Integration/Data Quality tools & UNIX troubleshooting

7. Informatica/Data Integration/Data Quality Tools Security

8. Leads/participates/contributes in Internal Team Process Improvements

9. Enhances and/or establishes, implements, and maintains appropriate Informatica/ETL administration best practices

10. Coordinates patching and other infrastructure sponsored activities

11. Triage of support tickets

12. Stop / Start services (AIX, Linux, or Windows platforms)

13. Monitoring of servers and services

14. Communication to users and other team members

Additional Information:

• This person must have Informatica Power Center Implementation skills. They need someone that has performed upgrades and can troubleshoot in the environment themselves. This person should also come from an enterprise environment as they have just under 100 servers in the environment.

• They need a candidate that has done upgrades—upgrading 9.6.1 to version 10. 9.1 to 9.6 is fine, just being familiar with the process is important. They would like this person to have been responsible for the upgrade steps themselves; production control, development, the users, etc.

• They will be a POC for the team.

• They are looking to deploy several additional tools in the suite; more use of Informatica Data Quality around profiling and score-carding, data validation is another tool that they would like to deploy. A lot of connectivity from Informatica to Hadoop and Cloudera.
