Job Description:

Industrial / product designers are responsible for the design, creation, testing and development of new products and solutions, you will be working on product testing specific to the tool and tool accessories industry as well as designing displays and point of sale installations.

Working with tools to prototype and develop products and solutions.

Testing and writing in depth reports on tools and other products.

Conducting detailed quality control tests.

You will utilize your specialist knowledge and practical experience of creative design and engineering to produce functional, effective and aesthetically pleasing products and solutions.

Education: Minimum Requirements

BA or BTECH Degree in Industrial Design or higher

Matric Certificate (Grade 12)

Experience using Solid works and Corel Graphics Suite are essential.

A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a similar position will be beneficial.

Sheet metal design and a comprehensive knowledge of materials and their properties.

Experience in stock management and working with suppliers is beneficial.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

A punctual and presentable individual who has great interpersonal and leadership skills, with not only written, but also oral communication skills.

Well organized, proactive and able to work under pressure?

Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision, as well as in a team environment.

Excellent Sense of Design and Practicality

Solid Technical Abilities

Good Problem-Solving Skills

Ability to Collaborate.

Able to Visualize and present projects
