In house Graphic Designer

West Music is seeking an in-house Graphic Designer with the experience and talent to produce engaging visual communications for both internal and external audiences. Innovative thinking, creative skills, and fresh ideas are a requirement for this position.

The candidate must be a well-rounded designer who thrives on contributing ideas, utilizes proficient knowledge of the most current graphic design industry standards, and possesses exemplary presentation skills to share concepts and final executions with internal clients. The ideal candidate also can comprehend diverse and complex ideas and translate them into clear communications.

Our Graphic Designer will assist West Music in meeting our mission help our customers P lay now. Play for life .

The designer will coordinate and assist with the marketing activities of West Music including but not limited to advertising, direct mail, printing, catalog production, customer events, web promotion, and trade shows. The Graphic Designer will develop, implement, and refine brand identity and design assets for West Music and all sales channels. There will be a strong emphasis on digital graphic design and print production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Develop innovative concepts, create compelling design solutions and follow through to final delivery on a wide variety of marketing projects including catalogs, brochures, print advertising, web graphics, display signage, and other related promotional materials.
• Contribute to overall department workload by collaborating with managers, and product owners/managers to create dynamic, bold designs and layouts for our internal and external West Music customers.
• Create graphic illustrations for use in company promotional materials.
• Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts.
• Draw and print charts, graphs, illustrations, and other artwork, using computer.
• Responsible for introducing new techniques and ideas from industry leaders in graphic design concepts.
• Maintain archive of images, photos, or previous work products.
• Plan, produce, and edit video elements utilizing Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
• Organize and maintain work-flow in a central file system.

Education, Experience & Qualifications –

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field
• Must be proficient in all Adobe Creative Suite components with an emphasis on Illustrator, PhotoShop, InDesign, Acrobat, and Premeire Pro.
• Prior experience with digital design and video production and editing.
• The ability to problem solve and find multiple design solutions under tight time constraints.
• High comfort level with working in a fast-paced, high intensity environment.
• The ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of marketing and non-marketing professionals.
• Detail oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
• Comfortable collaborating with a team and voicing your opinion. Work location is a large, open office area.
• The ability to speak, write, and communicate ideas in a clear, concise manner.

Desired Qualifications

• 2+ years of graphic design experience desired.
• Prior experience with print production procedures and techniques including large scale printing and multi-page catalogs, signage, and convention displays preferred.
