Job Summary:

The IAM System Analyst 1(SA) position works on technical solutions for new or existing applications or programs under the programming guidance of the senior programmers. The System Analyst translates business requirements into well-designed functionality while balancing user and business needs, technical competencies, industry developments, and time constraints. Reviews the design and code development of key architectural components with senior programmers. Contributes to decisions on project and infrastructure needs, including the evaluation of server technologies, languages, platforms, and frameworks.

The IAM System Analyst works on assigned tasks to solve complex IAM installations, maintenance, performance, capacity issues, and upgrades. Participates in the installation and maintenance of major operating system components, multiple program products, and ancillary system components. Works with users, business analysts and technical staff to resolve problems and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. Provides on-call support for problem resolution. Develops user manuals and participates in user demonstrations and focus groups. Maintains up-to-date technical knowledge through a variety of information sources.

• Collaborating with IAM team to ensure quality delivery of solutions
• Reviewing and providing feedback on business requirements and proposed technical solutions
• Brainstorming with team members to identify alternate solutions
• Developing skills to improve ability to better support IAM solutions
• Other duties as assigned

Additional Requirements

Education, Experience and Certifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT-related field required.

Experience:

• Programming experience developing, implementing, debugging, and maintaining applications utilizing some of the following languages required:
  • Java, Java EE
  • Perl, PHP, Python or Ruby
  • JavaScript, HTML and CSS
  • XML, XSL, and JSON
  • SQL and transact SQL
• Experience with LDAP preferred.

Technical Knowledge or Skills:

• Familiarity working with database systems and languages such as MySQL, SQL Server and Oracle required.
• Familiarity with the Linux Operating System required.
• Familiarity with at least one of the following web-service technologies required:
  • SOAP
  • XML-RPC
  • REST
• Familiarity with the software development life cycle preferred.
• Familiarity with version control software such as SVN or Git preferred.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

• Standard office environment
• On-call responsibilities
• Ability to sit for two to four hours
• Ability to use computers extensively for 4 hours or more
• Ability to make repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movements
