Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC) is administratively attached to GBI. CJCC is legislatively charged with eleven areas of criminal justice coordination. Among those responsibilities is to serve as the statewide clearinghouse for criminal justice information & research; Develop criminal justice legislative & executive policy proposals; & serve in an advisory capacity to the Governor on issues impacting the criminal justice system. CJCC plans & administers tens millions of dollars in federal criminal justice and victim services grants

This position is located at Criminal Justice Coordinating Council, 104 Marietta Street, NW, Atlanta, Georgia

Description:
Under general supervision, responsible for all aspects of a small project or phases of a larger project. Responsible for coordinating activities of project team, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedules to ensure timely completion of project. Communicates with Program Manager. Assigns work to subordinate staff.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Organizes and executes activities and special projects
  • Prepares reports, and makes recommendations or determinations based on analysis
  • Promotes goals and objectives of the program in all forms of media
  • Provides program, administrative, and/or technical assistance and interpretation
  • Researches and resolves detailed issues/questions and prepares documents
  • Serves on development teams, proposes drafts, and/or reviews current policies to recommend changes
  • Assists assigned agencies with information, resolving problems, and provide services

Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED AND One year of professional level experience related to the area of assignment.

Preferred Qualifications – External
:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university OR Associate’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND two years of related experience OR Two years of experience at the Planner 2(GSP051 ) or Planner 3 (GSP052) or position equivalent
  • Project Management/Program Management experience
  • Grant Writing
  • Public Speaking
  • Presentation Skills
