Human Resources Technician

Performs duties such as data entry and answering employee questions via phone, email, and in person. Human Resources is dedicated to accuracy, efficiency, and providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities

Essential Functions

1. Responds to employee inquiries regarding employee benefits, payroll, or employment services.

2. Maintains employee benefits, payroll, and personnel records into the HRIS system.

3. Ensures applicant and current employee records are accurate and complete.

4. Administers HR related processes compliant with applicable laws, rules, and regulations under supervision.

5. Reviews and maintains confidential benefits, training, personnel, and employee files.

6. Handles human resources questions, concerns, and changes for employees; also acts as a resource to individuals in departments.

Problem Solving

This position responds to requests and questions regarding benefits, personnel, and payroll matters within identified parameters, but refers complicated situations to an escalated team for resolution. This position may be given a certain degree of creativity and latitude regarding the day to day operation of their functional area.

The major challenges encountered by incumbents in this position include acting as the first point of contact for all employee inquiries, appropriately handling controversial or sensitive employee issues, ensuring that employee information is entered correctly, and researching and resolving questions and issues related to that information.

Minimum Qualifications

Three years office experience with at least one year experience in Human Resources or equivalency required. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills also required. Data entry experience is preferred. This position has no responsibility for providing care to patients.
