HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR

The Director of Human Resources is responsible for

providing human resources support for the facility, including

recruitment and hiring, employee relations, employee orientations,

benefit administration, training programs, maintenance of personnel

records and files. Additionally, responds to insurance and

unemployment compensation, maintains the worker’s compensation

program and is the Corporate Compliance Liaison and Staff Development

Coordinator for the facility. Mesilla Valley Hospital

(MVH) is the quality provider of Behavioral Health Services in New

Mexico. A 120 bed facility, MVH is located in sunny Southern New

Mexico. Las Cruces features a diverse cultural blend with its rich

Spanish heritage population of 100,000, which is New Mexico’s second

largest city. Las Cruces is home to New Mexico State University and

to many art galleries, museums and theatres. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources

Administration or related field preferred. A minimum of two (2) years

experience in human resources, preferably in a health care setting

required. National certification: Professional in Human Resources

(PHR) or (SPHR), a plus. Knowledge of personnel procedures and legal

requirements such as FLSA, FMLA, EEOC, JCAHO, CYFD and state and

federal regulatory procedures. Ability to demonstrate tact,

resourcefulness, patience and dedication, and ability to work in a

fast-paced stressful environment is required.
