Human Resources Assistant (part time)

Brooklyn Public Library, the nation’s 5 th largest public library system with a network of 60 neighborhood libraries, is seeking a Part-time Human Resources Assistant to provide administrative and technical support for the department.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Data Entry using Library-dedicated systems
  • Provides support to time and attendance process
  • Answers & directs incoming telephone calls
  • Maintains employee personnel files
  • Acts as liaison between Human Resources and Payroll Department
  • Supports HR staff with various projects as needed
  • Works independently on programs and projects

Skills & Qualifications:

  • College degree or credit’s highly desirable
  • At least one year of administrative experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
  • Excellent customer service
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organization skills
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to convey a positive and professional image
