Human Resource Coordinator

GENERAL SUMMARY

Provides recruiting, hiring, employee relations and specialprojects/programs support to the HR department.

Responsible for assisting in the design and implementing of HR training programs, including but not limited to:

new hire orientation, , management development, interview training and others as may be needed. . Serves as

portal administrator for HR’s

ADP Workforce Now products. Responds to questions and/or provides information

upon request from staff. Assists staff members and potential staff members in understanding the credit union’s

programs and processes. Creates and/or generates requested reports from the ADP HRIS/Payroll system on a

scheduled or ad-hoc basis.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES (

in descending order of importance )

  • Coordinates the full recruiting lifecycle including sourcing, advertising, screening, testing, interviewing,
  • profiling, reference checks, and assisting with background checks for branch and operations positions.

  • Coordinates recruitment outreach opportunities, including job and career fairs as required.
  • Uses various resources to source qualified candidates, including internet, , media, schools, community
  • recruitment, networking, etc.

  • Maintains applicant workflow within the Applicant Tracking System, assists users in navigating the
  • system.

  • Identifies avenues to positively promote the NCU employment brand.
  • Assists in the development, administration, scheduling, tracking and evaluation of all HR training
  • programs, including developing and updating curricula, manuals, tests, exercises, simulations, handouts,

    and other materials as may be needed. Coordinates schedules for attendance and maintains records of

    program participation.

  • Shares responsibility for employee relations issues, including conducting interviews, investigations,
  • follow-up and advising on remedial action steps.

  • Administers enrollment in
  • NCU’s online compliance program, Regulatory University. Establishes

    credentials for employees by assigning

    User ID’s and Passwords and assists users with questions or issues

    pertaining to the software. Runs reports periodically as needed. Updates content and creates custom

    courses as needed.

  • Insures regulatory compliance for training and various Human Resources functions, meeting with auditors
  • on a regular basis.

  • Administrator for Safe Act MLO registration
  • Supports Affirmative Action and EEO-1record-keeping and reporting.
  • Serves as Portal administrator for ADP Workforce Now product.
  • Coordinates 3rd party training for all employees as approved. Coordinates training history and make
  • arrangements for training logistics.

  • Recommends Human Resources/Training programs for potential implementation.

    Administers the credit union’s V-Force employee volunteer program. Identifies and communicates volunteer

    opportunities in the community or through charitable organization. Maintains participation records and

    ensures employees receive proper approval to participate.

    Administers the credit union’s Educational Assistance Reimbursement program. Processes reimbursement

    with Accounting and ensures employees are following the guidelines outlined in the Plan Document.

  • Serves as back-up payroll processor in the absence of the Payroll/Benefits Coordinator. Generates Systems
  • and Facilities Access form notifications when requested to notify credit union personnel of employment

    changes.

  • Creates and generates various Human Resources related reports from the ADP system as requested by HR
  • management or business lines managers on a scheduled and/or ad-hoc basis.

  • Assist with special projects and/or administrative duties as assigned by the AVP, Human Resources and/or
  • VP- Human Resources.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education

    BA/BS degree in Human Resources or related field preferred. SPHR/PHR preferred.

    Experience

    / Skills/Knowledge :

  • Minimum 3 years previous experience in a human resources capacity preferably in a credit union or financial
  • institution. Strong recruiting experience required. Employee relations experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of laws and regulations impacting the Human Resource function. A solid
  • understanding of recruiting processes and procedures and the ability to keep current with industry standards is

    required.

  • Ability to deal with highly confidential information. Must possess strong service orientation skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, telephone, interpersonal, and presentation communication skills.
  • PC proficient, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and the Internet. Online
  • recruiting and HRIS experience required.

  • Prior experience utilizing a HRIS/Payroll system and the ability to use reporting tools is desired.
  • Ability to function in a financial institution environment and utilize standard office equipment including
  • but not limited to: fax, copier, telephone, etc. Some travel required. Ability to lift a minimum of 25lbs.

    e.g. training manuals, LCD projector, recruiting information for job fairs, etc.
