Hospitality Lecturer

Hospitality lecturer required to present CTH hospitality management programmes Level 3 & Level 4

Essential Job Functions and Activities

Plan, design, schedule and conduct classroom lectures, activities, practical sessions and assessments,

Tutor and support students during industry training segments in conjunction with industry partners

Report student performance, progress and conduct to the Head of Academics

Critically review and table recommendations for improving programme delivery and assessment processes

Guide, council and/or refer students for counselling in respect of their academic performance, progress, personal development and other issues/problems

Actively promote the hospitality and tourism programmes during open days, parent evenings, career events, school visits and other marketing activities

Working hours : Full-time and will include some weekends and evenings

Skills and Requirements

Minimum requirements :Education :
Diploma in Hospitality Management at NQF Level 5 or 6

Work experience:
Minimum of 2 (two) years’ teaching, assessment and quality control experience in hospitality: 2 years – Essential

Experiences in liaising with industry organisations and bodies: 2 years

Minimum of 3 (three) years’ working experience in the hospitality and tourism management: 3 years

A working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
