Help Desk Tier 1 Support

JOB SUMMARY:


serve as a service desk technician providing Tier 2 support for all client support requests and perform Tier I maintenance and troubleshooting for desktop and account support incidents across three network security domains.

PRIMARY RESONSIBILITIES:

Provide first contact and incident resolution to customers with hardware, software, and application problems, including both customer telephone support and electronically submitted requests. Provide polite and friendly customer service. Attempt to resolve as many incidents during first contact or at Tier I as possible. Develop new concepts and processes, analyze root causes, and resolve issues. Support junior-level technicians and specialists in their activities. Perform tasks with junior technicians or specialists.

Qualifications:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • US citizenship and an Active TS/SCI Clearance required. Candidate will also be required to successfully complete a CI Polygraph if needed.
  • 2+ years of Service Desk Agent experience
  • 5+ years of experience with working in an IT service desk
  • Experience with documenting IT troubleshooting processes
  • Experience with troubleshooting Microsoft IT technologies
  • Experience with DoD IT security requirements
  • BA or BS degree
  • DoD 8570 Security Certification required, including Security+
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • ITIL Foundations Certification

TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
