Varen Technologies is searching for a Help Desk Support Specialist. to support our EMT program.


The Intelligence Community Information Technology Enterprise Management (EMT) will provide an IC-wide service desk with a single point of contact for IC ITE service consumers to report incidents and receive support.

IC EMT will provide an IC Watch with near real-time health status, and situational awareness via dashboards with live status feeds from service providers.

Provided along with this document is the IC EMT supporting documents which illustrates the government’s view of how IC EMT services shall be delivered and the interactions those services have with IC agencies and other IC ITE Service Providers.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Varen Technologies is looking for a Help Desk Support Specialist in support of our EMT contract.

  • Serve as a service desk technician, providing support for all client support requests and perform Tier I maintenance and troubleshooting for desktop and account support incidents across three network security domains.
  • Follow established processes and checklists, comprehend and apply basic concepts, and assist senior level technicians, specialists, and managers with their activities.
  • Provide first contact and incident resolution to customers with hardware, software, and application problems, including both customer telephone support and electronically submitted requests.
  • Provide polite and friendly customer service and attempt to resolve as many incidents during the first contact or at Tier I.
  • Escalate incidents to higher Tier II or Tier III efficiently, as required.
  • Document incident statuses and solutions in incident database tools.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 0 to 2 years of Service Desk Agent experience
  • Experience with documenting IT troubleshooting processes
  • Experience with troubleshooting Microsoft IT technologies
  • TS/SCI/CI Poly required foir immediate consideration
  • HS diploma or GED required
  • DoD 8570 Security Certification required, including Security+

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI / CI Poly clearance is required.
