Help Desk/Level 3 Network Administrator

We are currently seeking a Help Desk/ Level 3 Network Administrator to work at our Mokena, IL corporate office to join a fast paced and growing company. This position is open due to the firm’s growth this year.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to requests for technical assistance via phone, in person, electronically
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues
  • Research questions using available information resources
  • Advise clients on appropriate action and redirect problems to appropriate resource
  • Follow standard help desk procedures and log all interactions
  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
  • Hardware and software inventory and asset management
  • Aptitude for learning new network and security technologies and applying them to new and existing infrastructures.

Position Requirements:

5-8 years’ experience with the following:

  • Customer service orientation
  • Problem analysis and Problem-solving skills including maintenance of hardware, operating systems, LAN/WAN, DNS, TCP/IP, WINS, DHCP
  • Planning and organizing skills and the ability to handle stress and deliver positive service
  • Remote connection protocol knowledge, RemoteAPP, VPN technology
  • Working knowledge and experience supporting Microsoft technologies
  • Experience troubleshooting Applications such as QuickBooks, MSOffice
  • Excellent knowledge of hardware and software troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Excellent knowledge of Cisco, SonicWALL and PFSence switches, and routers
  • Knowledge of routing protocols
  • May be required to work outside of normal hours and on your own

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00 to $80,000.00 /year
