Hedge Fund Junior Trader

About the Fund:

We are a growing L/S hedge fund under the umbrella of a large multi-strategy trading firm which trades virtually all asset classes across all major global exchanges.

Job Description:

A new Junior Trader will start his/her career predominantly supporting the domestic equities and equities derivatives desks (although s/he may be called upon to assist on the algo and international desks as well), while learning his/her craft. As a Junior Trader progresses, s/he will be given increased responsibility including trade execution and idea generation, eventually culminating in “running” his/her own “book.”

The Ideal Candidate:

• An unquenchable passion for the financial markets
• GPA 3.3+ in a relevant major from a selective university
• 1-3 years related experience (not required)
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Independent thinker
• Strong technical skills in Excel and Bloomberg
• Personal trading history is a “plus”
• Programming ability a plus (C++, C#, Python, Cython)
• Competitive
• Entrepreneurial spirit
• Proven ability to make quick decisions under pressure
