HD IT Support Technician I

What You’ll Be Doing:
Reporting to the IT Support Supervisor, the IT Support Technician is directly responsible for analyzing, troubleshooting, and evaluating user issues to develop a plan of action that will resolve the problem within a cost effective and reasonable length of time. Will also maintain and repair IT related equipment.

Responsibilities:
Monitors corporate help desk line and provides on-site support for warehouse operations.

Resolves assigned customer service requests.

Evaluates existing equipment and network access to meet the user needs.

Consults with management to evaluate and recommend computer and related hardware required for capital expenditure

request.

Consults with external sources to obtain information and specifications for definition of products and services to be

purchased.

Obtains price quotations from vendors to comply with company purchasing requirements.

Acts as liaison between corporate IT and Mississippi users.

Tests, evaluates, and recommends to Purchasing Department label stock and ribbons that are presented by vendors.

Requirements for Consideration:
Associate Degree from an accredited college or university in related profession/field.

2 or more years of experience required.

A+ and Network+ certifications required.

Excellent oral and written English communication skills.

Excellent customer service skills.

Telephone confidence.

Good problem solving and time management skills.

Good organizational skills.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office application from a support level.

Knowledge of operating systems (e.g. Windows, LINUX, Apple).

Common IT applications and common hardware knowledge.
