Green Energy Infrastructure, Analyst/Associate – Macquarie Capital – New York

Macquarie Capital’s Americas Green Energy Infrastructure Investment Team is looking for experienced Analysts and Associates with 2-6 years of relevant experience to join our team in New York.

You will have the opportunity to combine principal investing and infrastructure development with project finance and capital raising activities across asset classes and transaction structures. As an Analyst or Associate in our team, you will be given high levels of responsibility and ownership, and will primarily be working on transactions that involve deploying our own balance sheet as an equity investor in pre-eminent Green Energy / Renewables infrastructure transactions in the Americas.

Recent examples include acquisition and development of a battery storage portfolio in California (https://www.macquarie.com/us/corporate/advisory-and-capital-markets/articles/ams) and the acquisition and construction of a utility-scale new-build power plant in Mexico (https://www.macquarie.com/ie/about/newsroom/2017/macquarie-capital-led-consortium-acquires-norte-iii-power-plant-in-mexico/).

You will assist and lead key diligence processes in relation to principal investments, as well as managing the more junior members of the team, providing guidance on financial analysis and reviewing financial models. You will design and lead production of presentations, information memoranda and other analysis for internal and external audiences.

If you have proven experience investing in renewable energy or infrastructure projects, experience as an M&A execution banker, or experience working for a relevant industry player, we want to hear from you.

You will have experience in mentoring and supervising graduates and entry level analysts and strong quantitative skills, including extensive experience with financial models and valuation techniques. You will also be able to independently manage and oversee a valuation including the incorporation of key due diligence findings into a model. Spanish language capabilities are preferred but not required.
