Graphics Designer, Mid
Key Role:

Design and develop complex graphics and illustrations for use in technical materials, manuals, and publications. Operate computer hardware and software to prepare, revise, print, and store text, illustrations, graphs, and charts. Formulate concept and render illustration and detail from models, sketches, memory, written or oral instructions, and imagination. Select type, draw lettering, lay out material, or perform related duties. Determine style, technique, and medium best suited to produce preferred effects, conform with reproduction requirements, or follow specific instructions regarding these variables. Provide work leadership for junior employees.

Basic Qualifications:

-Knowledge of industry standard graphics design software, including Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office

-Knowledge of production process

-Ability to apply complex graphics design principles, theories, and practices

-Ability to create conceptual designs for Web page and other electronic media

-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

-HS diploma and 10 years of experience in a professional work environment or BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-5 years of experience with recent graphics design

-Experience with online publications

-BA degree in Graphics Arts, Web Design, Fine Arts, or Communications Arts

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
