Graphic Designer/Illustrator

The Rookwood Pottery Company is seeking a Graphic Designer/Illustrator to create visual concepts, by hand or using computer software, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and esthetic design concepts.
• Develop graphics and layouts for product illustrations and company website.
• Create designed either by hand or using computer software.
• Present designs to art director.
• Incorporate changes recommended by the art director into the final design.
• Review designs for errors before printing or publishing them.
• Keep up to date with the latest software and computer technologies to remain competitive.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field.
• Hand Illustration and Drawing experience required.
• Graphic design experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Adobe design programs.
• Possess a creative mind.
• Good communication skills.
• Computer savvy.
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Should be able to look at your work from an analytical viewpoint.
• Possess ability to create designs that are artistically interesting and appealing to customers.
