Graphic Designer

The Dandelion Patch is a custom stationery and invitation boutique in Tysons Corner. We are a wedding-centered business and our clientele and project-load is always varied and new. We have an immediate opening for an energetic, creative, and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join our Design Studio. We are looking for someone who can easily understand, estimate and communicate design tasks, provide quality assurance in all projects with a variety of clients, as well as bring a creative, fun spark to each task.

The perfect candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment, is a master at time management, and enjoys working with people in a variety of roles. If you have a strong appreciation for good typography (you cringe when you see Comic Sans) this is the perfect position for you. If you pay extremely close attention to detail — you find yourself critiquing movie posters, advertisements, and menus when you go out with your friends, you notice when things are even one pixel off… We want you!

Responsibilities:

:
Creating designs, concepts, and layouts based on customer guidelines for invitations, envelopes, programs,
menus, place cards, marketing materials, note cards, etc.
» Staying on top of projects and revisions.
» Using HP LaserJet printers to produce in-house projects.
» Taking part in the assembly process that includes: cutting, pasting, hole punching, tying bows, etc.

» Collaborating with multiple decision-makers to create a final product by a set deadline.

Requirements

:
» A 4-year degree in Graphic Design or a comparable study. We will accept resumes from May 2017 graduates.
» Expert in the Adobe Creative Suite.
» Creativity, Flexibility, and Attention to Detail.
» Project management skills.
» Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
