Graphic Designer

The Ramsey County Bar Association is a voluntary association of lawyers in Ramsey County and is located in downtown St. Paul. The mission of the RCBA is to provide legal education to the legal community and the public, promote professional excellence, and to work to improve the quality and accessibility of justice. We are looking for a part-time (10-12 hours per week) Graphic Designer with the following job duties and experience.

Primary Duties:

Newsletter: * Primary graphic design/production of the membership publication. * Layout and placement of all articles, advertising, images, and other content. * Assist with preparation of internal and external display ads as needed. * Make revisions to text and design following staff review. * Prepare files for final printing and upload to offsite printer. * Assist with review of printer proof and make corrections as needed. * Reformat articles and images from the print version of publication, for posting to the online version of the publication, and use in other formats. Marketing Promotion and Advertising Production/Design: * Assist with production and updating of advertising and marketing pieces for use in print and electronic communications/promotions, event signage and materials, and event booklets and programs. * Design and format/size existing layouts for presentation in multiple formats (web banners, posters, flyers, ads). * Collaborate with staff, members and other departments on creation of new promotional pieces as needed.

Experience:

• Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat), Outlook, Word, and Excel. * Strong design skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to organization and detail, and a professional demeanor. * Ability to work on multiple diverse programs and activities, both independently and with professional staff and volunteer committee members. * Sensitivity to confidential matters.

Additional Information:

The individual in this position may perform some work from home if desired.
