Graduate Engineer

We are looking to appoint a Graduate Engineer to work in the London T&I Design Team and the appointment seeks to attract a newly qualified graduate with at least 1 years’ experience, who we can nurture and develop “the BWB way”.

The role provides an opportunity to grow and develop in a fast-paced, professional environment. Support from experienced engineers and technicians would quickly see you producing design solutions and AutoCAD drawings for our civil engineering projects. You will start work on smaller projects, with an emphasis on skills development to help you up the learning curve. You will quickly start working more independently on larger and more challenging projects.

The position is for a graduate with strong aspirations to pursue a career in civil engineering.

About the team

The team provides a comprehensive design and advisory service focused on meeting the engineering challenges involved in servicing the infrastructure requirements of regeneration and development projects. We work across the transport, residential, commercial, industrial, health and retail sectors and our clients range from local and national developers and contractors to public sector bodies. We aim to create a working environment that provides challenge, enjoyment and a real sense of satisfaction with a view to encouraging personal and professional development in all our staff.

About you

Whilst academic qualifications appropriate to the roles are important, attributes such as problem solving, communication, personal organisation and team working will help candidates stand out. Above all we seek demonstrable enthusiasm, ambition and a willingness to learn.

Applicants with work some work experience in the construction industry, either through work experience or as part of an academic course, are ideally sought.

Your skills should include a working knowledge of both Civil 3 Design and Microdrainage software, and you should have some experience of delivering earthworks, drainage and/or highway designs on a live project.
