Electrical Engineer

Exponent’s Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Practice is seeking an entry level Electrical Engineer to join its consulting team in our growing London, UK office.

Initial job responsibilities for this position will involve:

• Performing outstanding technical work for clients
• Effectively managing client expectations
• Effectively managing multidisciplinary and international project teams
• Continued activity within their field of expertise as demonstrated through continued publications and presentations at technical conferences

Near-term career development and growth will include responsibility for developing client relationships, as well as participating in generating project opportunities and revenue through active marketing and attendance at local and international conferences.

Qualifications for this position include:

• Doctorate degree in Electrical, Electronic or Computer Engineering, or sciences such as Physics or Computer Science. Exceptional Masters Degree candidates may also apply with 1-3 years of industry and/or engineering consulting experience.
• Experimental research background focused in electronics and circuit design, power systems, control systems, software engineering, or other related fields
• Experience in development of experimental design, construction of experimental apparatus, instrumentation, data acquisition and data analysis
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Highly self-motivated as demonstrated through presentations at technical conferences, publications in peer reviewed journals, professional certifications and engineering licensure, and extra-curricular activities
• Intellectual curiosity with a passion to explore a vast array of problems and applications both within and outside area of specialization
• Strong deductive reasoning skills
• Demonstrated leadership skills and proven ability to work in a multidisciplinary, collaborative environment
• Previous industry experience, including co-op, work study or internship preferred
• Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer preferred but not required
• Previous experience with product/systems reliability and failure analysis preferred but not required
• Dual language fluency preferred but not required
