Global Supply Chain Business Intelligence Engineer

As a Business Intelligence Engineer in the Global Supply Chain (GSC) Solutions team, you are responsible for creating and delivering data reporting solutions and visualizations that are consumed by a wide audience including business leaders, business analysts & planners, suppliers and customers. You will work with business partners to define system requirements (such as requirements for interface design to support a global user base) and coordinating with the Information Technology (IT) department as needed. As a team, we design and create business intelligence solutions that answer key business questions. We strive to deliver value to the organization through the visibility of data through metrics, dashboards, analytics and reporting. The ideal candidate will have solid verbal and written communication skills and aptitude to develop business and technical acumen. Strong SQL development skills are a requirement of this position. The engineer will be part of an agile development team focused on delivering business value to diverse requests of varying complexity.

Primary Responsibilities

• Deliver ETL, Reporting and Analytic solutions using Microsoft SQL Server Business Intelligence tools, SAP Hana/Business Objects and Tableau.
• Serve as an internal consultant within Global Supply Chain teams and partner with organizations on Supply Chain and Procurement Metric and Analytic reporting capabilities and best practices.
• Partner with Global Supply Chain area leadership to understand reporting and metric needs and to improve the overall efficiency of the planning teams through effective reporting.
• Work with teams to deliver effective, high-value reporting solutions by leveraging an established delivery methodology.
• Provide architectural, functional and process guidance on system capabilities and solution approaches.
• Work within cross-functional teams (Operations areas, Global Supply Chain Engineers, IT) to drive successful deployments.
• Resolve operational issues and ensure stability of the reporting environment to the business.

Job Requirements

Qualified candidates will have:

• A strong systems background, good oral and written communication, problem solving, teamwork and consensus building skills.
• Experience in database development (T-SQL, PLSQL, and/or SQL scripts)
• Two to three years of experience in ETL development tools, preferably with knowledge of Microsoft Integration Services 2005 or greater (SSIS).
• Development experience within the past year with one or more data visualization/reporting tools (Tableau, Qlik, Business Objects, Hana Analytics, Microsoft Reporting Services, Hana Analytics)
• Experience in Microsoft BI development in Integration Services (SSIS), Analysis Services (SSAS) or Reporting Services (SSRS) 2005 or greater (preferred but not required).
• Experience with Agile project management.
• Familiarity with SAP (ECC, APO, BW) is desired.
• Self-motivated with the ability to consistently achieve desired results.

Education

• BS Degree Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related fields
