General Accountant

We are currently looking for a talented individual to be responsible for preparing and analyzing accounting transactions and financial information to ensure it is in accordance with company standards.

• Prepare monthly journal entries, including allocations, various accruals, etc.
• Prepare and record journal entries for salt water disposal and midstream businesses.
• Prepare account reconciliations and P & L analysis monthly.
• Handle and/or assist with special projects or other accounting related assignments.
• Resolve owner inquiries.
• Prepare accounts receivable aging’s and allowance recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business required.
• Minimum 3 experience in oil and gas joint interest and/or general accounting.
• WolfePak and BOLO accounting software experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Microsoft Office proficiency required; intermediate excel and word skills.
• Self-motivated individual with effective organizational skills.
• Ability to undertake multiple tasks at the same time without losing focus.
