Gas Systems Technician

As a Gas Systems Technician at Micron, you will maintain and repair gas delivery and/or gas monitoring systems. You will be accountable for a wide range of responsibilities that may include any or all of the following: replacement of gas cylinders (including hazardous production materials), qualification and offloading of bulk (cryogenic) fluids, alarm or reading responses, responding to customer requests, and system commissioning, qualification and testing.

Qualifications:

Successful candidates for this position will have:

• Strong communication skills – ability to understand written and verbal instructions (including procedure breakdowns, responding to phone, pager and emails)
• Ability to read and interpret gas system schematics and piping/instrumentation diagrams
• Gas delivery or monitoring systems experience
• Experience handling hazardous materials and the use of SCBA and personal protective equipment.
• Good PC skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Ability to work well with limited supervision
• Ability to work in a group or alone
• Able to work 12 hours shifts that rotate between days and nights every four months
• Physical qualifications required:
  
  • Able to stand for long periods at a time
  • Able to bend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel
  • Be able to read and understand chemical labels

Education:

Minimum of an AAS degree or equivalent training
